Ultimate Fighter Recap and Results Season 11 Episode 8


Tonight on The Ultimate Fighter we got to see Kris McCray take on Kyacey Uscola in the wild card match to see who would stay in the running for the UFC contract. Kyacey had a lot on his mind as his son had just been born and the coaches let him talk to his wife. Not being able to bet here when your child is born is rough. I remember when my first son was born while I was gone to AIT in the ARMY. There is a rush of emotions like no other. Way to stick it out for this chance of a lifetime Kyacey! ON WITH THE SHOW!

So the fight between Uscola and McCray went to the second round, the first was a pretty close round. In the second McCray took Uscola down and stuck him in a Americana and he was forced to tap.

The coaches and Dana got together to choose the quarter final fights but Tito and Chuck couldn't agree so Dana dismissed them and chose the fights. The quarter final fights are:
Nick Ring (Team Ortiz) vs. Court McGee (Team Liddell)
Kris McCray (Team Ortiz) vs. Kyle Noke (Team Liddell)
Seth Baczynski (Team Ortiz) vs. Brad Tavares (Team Liddell)
Jamie Yager (Team Ortiz) vs. Josh Bryant (Team Liddell)

Later on after the fight announcement Nick Ring went and got his knee checked out. The doctor told him he could probably get by with a couple more fights and then get his 3rd ACL reconstruction but would be risking further injury. So Dana came to the house and talked with him and Nick dropped out to get his knee fixed. Dana went back into the house after talk and told everyone what was going on and that he would talk to the coaches the next day to figure out who to bring back.

On his way out of the house Hammortree went out after him and told Dana that he wanted to fight. So Hammortree went back in the house and told everyone that Hammortree was taking Ring's spot. This pissed off Joe Henle(Team Liddell) because he thought he had the spot due to other fighters being injured and what not. He told Dana that if he would thought it would help to chase him down and tell him that he would of and that if anyone else gets hurt or what ever that he wanted that fight!

Then we got to see Court McGee(Team Liddell) vs James Hammortree (Team Ortiz) fight for the first semi final spot. The first we got to see a nice display of striking and a couple takedowns. James got 1 takedown and Court had at least 3. To start off the second round Hammortree went for a takedown and got Court up against the cage but Court stuck him in a standing guillotine and Hammortree was forced to tap.

Standings so far for season 11 on TUF are Team Liddell 5 and Team Ortiz 3 (this doesn't include teammate vs teammate boughts)
